Two boys, aged 11 and 13, have been taken to hospital after rescuing a four-year-old from a house fire in West Lothian.
Two women, aged 22 and 45, were later taken from the house in Armadale by firefighters.
The casualties from the fire, which broke out shortly before 19:13 on Thursday, were not seriously injured.
Meanwhile, at about 01:40 on Friday, a man was killed in a flat fire in Niddrie, Edinburgh.
