Fire crews battle Fife wild fire

A wild fire has broken out on area of grass land, just off the A92 between Kirkcaldy and Lochgelly in Fife.

Wild fires have swept across parts of the west Highlands, but this was the first to break out in the central belt, according to Fife Fire and Rescue.

Fire crews were called to the blaze, which covered an area about the size of two basketball courts, at about 1530 BST.

Firefighters were still working to get the fire under control after 1700 BST.
