Resurfacing works on M8 at Livingston are completed

A £2.9m resurfacing programme has been completed on a 2.5km section of the M8 in West Lothian.

The eastbound carriageway between Junctions 2 and 3 at Livingston is used by 64,000 vehicles per day.

Bear Scotland, which manages the road on behalf of Transport Scotland, thanked motorists for their "patience" during the works.

The firm said contractor Tarmac had worked round the clock to complete the project on schedule.
