21 August 2014 Last updated at 17:01 BST

A BBC Radio Scotland independence referendum debate has been held at the Thainstone Centre in Inverurie.

Recorded in front of a mixed audience of "Yes", "No" and undecided voters, a range of issues which could sway voters were discussed.

Chaired by reporter Steven Duff, the participants were SNP MSP Richard Lochhead, Business Scotland's Kenny Anderson, Deputy Liberal Democrat leader Sir Malcolm Bruce and Rural Better Together campaigner Peter Chapman.

The referendum will be held on 18 September when voters will be asked the Yes/No question: "Should Scotland be an independent country?"
