Voting Intentions: Yes to independence

Tracy Metcalfe lives in Forres, Moray, and is currently in her penultimate year studying for a degree in Scottish History at the University of the Highlands and Islands.

Originally from County Durham, Tracy has lived in Scotland for over 20 years after holidaying there and deciding to make the move permanent.

Although she is generally busy working on university coursework, she also finds the time to manage the Elgin Museum shop and volunteer at the Falconer Museum in Forres.

She enjoys reading, and has two teenage sons who will be voting for the first time in the referendum.

She has decided to vote "Yes" in the referendum, and says, "Most of my mates think it's a bit strange that I'm voting 'Yes' because I am English."

"I feel Scotland needs to be run by a government that actually cares for Scotland.

"I would be the first to admit that I am not keen on Alex Salmond but I am not voting for him as such, I am voting for independence."
