Audrey Birt lives in Edinburgh and is a freelance consultant and coach, working with major third sector organisations in Scotland.

A former nurse and healthcare manager, she is passionate about improving health and social care provision and has established several charities.

These include the Health and Social Care Alliance which acts as an intermediary between the third sector and government in developing health and social care policy, and breast cancer charity Breakthrough in Scotland.

She enjoys taking walks with her dog and is an avid blogger, writing about her life experience and her specialist interests.

She has decided to vote "Yes" in the Referendum in September.

"I want Scotland to be a value led nation, where all people matter, and where we can make the decisions that help us flourish at the right level."
