Call to update Scotland's law on domestic abuse

The Scottish government has been urged to strengthen the law on domestic abuse by one of the country's most senior legal officers.

Solicitor General Lesley Thomson, QC, wants the pattern to previous behaviour to be taken into account in court cases.

She explained to BBC Scotland's home affairs correspondent Reevel Alderson why she believed it was time to update the law.
