Trials of the Argyll beaver reintroduction

29 April 2014 Last updated at 14:57 BST

A trial to reintroduce beavers to Knapdale will end soon but has it been a success and do the public think it is a good idea?

A YouGov poll, commissioned for the Scottish Beaver Trial, found 60% of Scots support the reintroduction of beavers to the wild.

The species was hunted to extinction in Scotland in the 17th Century.

BBC Scotland's environment correspondent David Miller reports from Argyll.
