Award for BBC Scotland programme on school abuse

Fort Augustus Abbey A BBC programme uncovered evidence of decades of physical and sexual abuse by some monks at Fort Augustus Abbey school, which is now closed

BBC Scotland's investigation into abuse at Fort Augustus Abbey School has won a Royal Television Society Award for Current Affairs in London.

The programme, Sins of our Fathers, had previously won a BAFTA award last year.

It was made by correspondent Mark Daly and producer Murdoch Rogers.

The programme told how former pupils of Fort Augustus Abbey school and its preparatory school Carlekemp claimed to have been subjected to sexual and physical abuse.
