Scottish independence: The Referendum Debate from Greenock

Voters will go to the polls in the Scottish independence referendum on 18 September.

James Cook hosted the first in a series of special BBC Scotland debates as the country prepares to make a historic decision on its future.

Scottish Culture Secretary Fiona Hyslop MSP, Scottish deputy Labour leader Anas Sarwar MP, Alex Massie and Sanjeev Kohli answered questions from the audience.

Trident, the EU and which way Robert Burns would vote were some of the issues discussed at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock.
