Domestic abuse MSP's ex-wife on what prompted her to act

9 September 2013 Last updated at 13:42 BST

Diana Walker, the ex-wife of disgraced former MSP Bill Walker, has told BBC Scotland he was the only person to blame for his downfall.

The 71 year old resigned his Dunfermline seat at the weekend blaming the media.

He had been convicted of 23 counts of domestic abuse, over almost three decades, in August.

Diana Walker said it was the former MSP's backing of a women's aid project that prompted her to act: "He still refuses to admit he has done anything wrong".
