Scottish economy out of recession

The Scottish economy moved out of recession between July and September last year, growing by 0.6%, according to official figures.

The production sector, including manufacturing, led the growth. The same period saw the United Kingdom economy grow by 0.9%, helped by spending on the Olympics.
