Two inmates die in custody on same day in Scotland

Investigations have been launched after two prisoners died on Wednesday.
John Perry, 24, had been held at Perth prison and was being treated at Perth Royal Infirmary. Denis Cannon, 55, was at Glenochil prison.
The Scottish Prison Service has stated that "fatal accident inquiries may be held" into the two deaths.
Cannon was convicted of assault to severe injury and attempted murder at Glasgow High Court in July 2010. John Perry was on remand.
Mr Perry was being held in connection with offences under the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1955, Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and Police (Scotland) Act 1968.
Police have been advised about both deaths and the incidents reported to the procurator fiscal.
