Glasgow's Burrell Collection could go on tour

Help

A bid to refurbish Glasgow's Burrell Collection has been launched.

The multi-million pound cost would be offset by touring some of the 8,000 artworks while the museum is closed.

Sir William Burrell, gave the collection to the city in 1944, with the condition it would never tour abroad.

BBC Scotland's arts correspondent Pauline McLean reports on the proposals for the priceless art collection.
