Salmond confirms Scots hostages in Algerian gas facility

The first minister has confirmed that a number of Scots are among those who have been taken hostage by Islamist militants in Algeria.

Alex Salmond says detailed information is being limited in the interests of security.

He was speaking during First Minister's Questions in the Scottish Parliament.
