Schoolgirls reported over YouTube video

Two schoolgirls have been referred to the children's reporter in Strathclyde following an alleged attack broadcast on video sharing site YouTube.

After the footage appeared, it was subject to widespread comment across social media platforms.

Strathclyde Police had indicated that they were aware of the video and were investigating.

The force later said: "Two girls, aged 11 and 15, are subject of a report to the children's reporter."
