Scottish SPCA warns pets not just for Christmas

The Scottish SPCA is beginning a two week moratorium on rehoming young pets.

The idea is to prevent people taking ownership of puppies and kittens to then give as Christmas presents.

Kennels will begin filling up and there are a busy few weeks ahead for those looking after the animals.

Drumoak, in Aberdeenshire, is the SSPCA's newest rehoming centre.
