Scotland's place in the EU questioned
The first minister has dismissed reports claiming an independent Scotland would have to renegotiate membership of the European Union.
Alex Salmond has said every serious person accepts Scotland would be welcomed in the EU.
The Scotsman newspaper reported earlier they had seen a European Commission letter suggesting Scotland would have to reapply as a new state.
The issue has once again highlighted a key dividing line in the referendum campaign.
