Research into why fire fighters have heart attacks


Why are firefighters particularly prone to heart attack?

The British Heart Foundation is funding a study to try to establish why crews are 30 times more likely to suffer a cardiac arrest while fire fighting.

Researchers from Edinburgh University hope their work will help them to come up with new ways of protecting fire crews.
