Snowy scenes in Strathspey
The winter blast is causing disruption to roads and schools in the North East and on Shetland.
Schools were closed in Aberdeenshire and driving conditions in Grampian were hazardous.
The Met Office has issued an amber warning for snow for much of Scotland from Wednesday night into Thursday.
The warning also covers significant icy stretches for much of the country.
