Hunterston B power station to operate until 2023
The Hunterston B nuclear power station on the Ayrshire coast will continue operating until at least 2023, seven years longer than planned.
The plant's operator, EDF Energy, has said the decision will secure the jobs of more than 700 people.
A further extension has not been ruled out.
