Salmond to hold talks on Leveson


The first minister has invited MSPs to engage in all-party talks to reach consensus on how to regulate the Scottish press following the Leveson inquiry.

But the process already appears to be unraveling, with his opponents saying they will only take part if Alex Salmond does not.

Mr Salmond and Scottish Labour leader Johann Lamont and Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson were questioned about the way forward for press regulation north of the border on Sunday Politics Scotland.
