Call for debate on Scotland's college sector funding

The Liberal Democrats are calling for another debate on college funding to be held at Holyrood.

They say a fresh vote on the issue is needed after the Scottish government gave parliament incorrect figures last week.

First Minister Alex Salmond later apologised to MSPs and admitted he had quoted the wrong numbers.

One former college principal has told the BBC he quit early because of plans for the college sector.
