Clydebank crash leaves motorist dead

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road crash in Clydebank.

The incident happened on the A82 shortly before 21:00 on Friday.

A 50-year-old man was driving his Porsche 911 when it appears he lost control and struck the pedestrian barrier.

The driver and his 16-year-old daughter, who was a passenger, were taken to the Western Infirmary, where the man died a short time later.

The teenager was said to be in a stable condition.
