Aberdeen's bus lane fines set at £60 pending approval

Fines for motorists illegally using Aberdeen's bus lanes have been set at £60 by city councillors.

Approval will now be sought from the Scottish government for the move, which is in line with fines imposed in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The existing bus lane camera network in the city is being upgraded, and enforcement action is expected to begin early next year.

Those caught can halve their fine to £30 if they pay within 14 days.
