Severe weather warning for Borders
The south and south east of Scotland are preparing for heavy rain and gale force winds.
Potentially damaging gusts of 60mph are expected.
The Met Office has also issued warnings for heavy rain and strong winds across south west Scotland, Lothian and Borders, Central, Tayside and Fife.
Scottish Borders council say they will have staff on standby and a special control room is being manned overnight.
