The crash closed Scotland's busiest motorway in both directions
A man is recovering in hospital after a crash closed both directions of the M8 Glasgow to Edinburgh motorway.
The man was among 10 passengers in a minibus, which left the eastbound carriageway, just after the Shotts turn-off, and hit trees at about 06:50.
The 60-year-old was airlifted to Glasgow's Southern General Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
Four passengers were taken to Wishaw General and three to Monklands Hospital and released following treatment.
Police said inquiries into the crash were continuing.
