UK Songwriting Festival first for Galloway

Put 28 songwriters into a house for a week with a team of music industry experts and creative sparks should fly.

A country mansion in Galloway is home to the UK Songwriting Festival which started eight years ago and is visiting Scotland for the first time.

The week-long summer school is being held in collaboration with Burnsong and its patron Midge Ure has visited the songsters.
