Salmon fishing begins on the Tay
Fishermen have been out on the River Tay to mark the start of the salmon fishing season.
A piper led the crowd to the banks of the river at Dunkeld as part of the traditional ceremony.
The Tay is the first of Scotland's major rivers to get the season under way.
Last year saw a slight fall in the catch but anglers are seeing better numbers of bigger spring fish.
