Cruden Viking battle remembered
Cruden Bay was once the scene of a bloody 11th Century battle.
Danish King Canute tried to reinforce the Viking settlement in Scotland in 1012.
His army was beaten by the Scots led by Malcolm II.
Cruden's Viking past will be remembered over the next few weeks in a series of events.
