Is Cairnryan port a 'soft touch' for illegal immigrants?

There has been a huge rise in illegal immigrants being caught trying to enter the UK from Scotland's ferry link with Northern Ireland.

Border agency posts at Cairnryan were were cut by the UK coalition government.

The possible return of some of those staff to the port is now being investigated.
