Buzzard filmed snatching osprey chick from nest in Aberdeenshire
A local businessman has captured footage of a buzzard snatching an osprey chick from its nest at Lochter in Aberdeenshire.
It was filmed by Euan Webster, who has installed video surveillance on the nest.
The chick is seen being taken seconds after its mother had left the nest.
Mr Webster described it as "a shocking act", but RSPB Scotland said it had been a "perfectly natural, isolated predation incident".
