HMS Astute: 'Catalogue of errors' in submarine grounding off Skye

Help

An investigation by the Royal Navy into the grounding of one of its most expensive and advanced nuclear-powered submarines off Skye has revealed a catalogue of errors.

HMS Astute became stranded two years ago while it was on sea trials.

Its commander Andy Coles was later removed from his post.

The Royal Navy said it accepted the findings of the inquiry.
