Behind the mask of an Egyptian mummy
A major exhibition of Egyptian treasures is set to open at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
The Fascinating Mummies exhibition combines artefacts from collections in Holland and Scotland, including a number of mummified animals and people.
New technology has allowed researchers to look inside the mummies without them being unwrapped.
BBC Scotland's arts correspondent, Pauline McLean, was given a preview before the collection opens to the public.
