Air pollution alert first for Scotland

Air quality in Scotland is generally good.

On some days, in certain areas, pollution levels are so high the advice is not to exercise outdoors.

Scotland is to become the first part of the UK to offer a pollution alert system which could eventually be incorporated into weather forecasts.
