New road and rail links announced

Help

The Scottish government has announced plans to improve road and rail links and the building of other infrastructure projects.

Around £60bn will be spent on around 80 projects including the dualling of the A9 between Perth and Inverness.

The A96 between Aberdeen and Inverness will also be dualled by 2030.

The Scottish government has said it will consider bringing a high speed rail network to Scotland, if the UK government improves the line all the way to the border.
