Review of women prisoner treatment in Scottish jails

15 June 2011 Last updated at 11:15 BST

The move comes as an official report into Cornton Vale, the country's main woman's prison, found that it was below standard in almost every area.

Experts have said that the prison system cannot cope with the number of women being sent to jail.
