Prisons chief Hugh Monro expresses safety worries


The chief inspector of prisons, Brigadier Hugh Monro, has expressed concern about the level of assaults on staff at Addiewell HMP - Scotland's newest prison.

He told BBC Radio Scotland's Good Morning Scotland programme: "I have been worried about safety in prisons since I came into this job - I am concerned about it as a trend and want to see this come down."
