Hep C inquiry gets under way
A public inquiry into how people were infected with hepatitis C and HIV after undergoing NHS treatment in Scotland in the 1970s and 80s is set to take its first oral evidence.
More than 4,000 people across the UK, many of them haemophiliacs, were infected with contaminated blood before effective screening was introduced.
Patrick McGuire, a lawyer representing the victims and their families, spoke to BBC Radio's Good Morning Scotland programme.
