Boris Johnson: 'I want to be useful in Westminster'

London Mayor Boris Johnson has said he intends to stand as an MP for the Conservative Party at the next general election.

He told the BBC's James Landale he would like to be "useful again in Westminster" but he said it was not a bid for the Conservative leadership.

"I think it's highly unlikely that that will happen because there's no vacancy. I think David Cameron has been a brilliant prime minister," he said.
