Clegg defends TV appearance: 'It's right to reach out'

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has defended his decision to appear on a light-hearted Sunday TV programme, after criticism from some MPs and Lib Dem supporters.

Speaking at a news conference, Mr Clegg said he had also discussed Ukraine and government policy on the show, and that it was right to "reach out to people".
