Charles Clarke on future role for 'tragic' Tony Blair

Tony Blair is "in quite a tragic position" as he wants "another big job but I don't think there's any chance of him getting it" said a former member of his cabinet.

Charles Clarke, who served as home secretary and education sectary under Mr Blair, and pledged support for him, reckoned the former prime minister has no "route back" into British or European politics.
