Yvette Cooper: 'Why hasn't Theresa May apologised?'

8 June 2014 Last updated at 10:11 BST

Labour has called on the Home Secretary Theresa May to explain the part she played in a row with the Education Secretary Michael Gove, over how to deal with extremism in schools.

Mr Gove has publicly apologised to David Cameron, and to a senior civil servant whom he had criticised.

Speaking on the Andrew Marr Show, Ms Cooper said: "I think Theresa May needs to come out publicly and answer what she did to publish this letter."
