European election: The political map changes colour

With most of the results now in for the European Parliament election, UKIP has won 27.5% of the vote and had 24 MEPs elected.

Labour, on 25.4%, narrowly beat the Tories into third place while the Lib Dems came fifth behind the Green Party.

Jeremy Vine looks in more detail at how these results compare to previous European Elections in Great Britain - and further afield in Europe.
