Clegg: Conservatives 'elevated petulance' over Europe

18 May 2014 Last updated at 13:25 BST

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has described the Conservatives attitude towards the European Union as 'an elevated form of petulance'.

Clarifying the Liberal Democrat's position, he said: "We are in for reform, but you cannot win an argument unless you're in the argument. You cannot win the argument in Europe unless you're in Europe. It's as simple as that."
