European elections: How do France and Germany compare?

Campaigns have started for Europe's elections in just over a month but is the European electorate engaged?

In the UK the fiercest debates have been about whether to stay in or leave the Union.

France and Germany are two of the biggest economies in the EU but their approaches to the vote have been very different.
