Miller resignation 'should have happened six days ago'

The Labour MP whose complaint sparked the investigation into Maria Miller's expenses says her resignation should have happened "days ago."

Maria Miller resigned as culture secretary on Wednesday morning, saying that the row over her expenses had become "a distraction" to government.

John Mann welcomed her resignation.
