David Cameron has defended describing Labour leader Ed Miliband and Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls as ''Muppets'' at Prime Minister's Questions.
He made the remark during Commons exchanges on the price of Royal Mail shares, branding the pair "the two Muppets" who had advised former premier Gordon Brown on the sale of the UK's gold.
Mr Cameron said the use of the word ''Muppet'' was ''not inappropriate'' in the circumstances.
