David Cameron has said he would like to "go further" on raising the threshold at which people pay inheritance tax.
Speaking at a question and answer session in East Sussex, the prime minister said he had not been able to raise it to £1m as previously pledged due to Liberal Democrat opposition.
He said: "I believe in people being able to pass money down through the generations and pass things onto their children."
