Tony Benn death: Son Hilary pays tribute in parliament

Tributes have been paid in parliament to the former Labour cabinet minister Tony Benn following his death aged 88.

Drawing the debate to a close, Mr Benn's son Hilary praised his efforts to end apartheid, abolish the death penalty, support the miners, and campaign for peace.

He said: "Any life that inspires and encourages so many others is a life that was well-lived."
